Campbell Sports Medicine offers personalized access to concussion care. Concussions can be extremely serious. Unfortunately, they often go undetected or misdiagnosed. Dr. Campbell has specialty training in brain injury, and can help get you back to feeling better and productive.

 

Signs and Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of a concussion can range from mild to severe but regardless of your perception of the injury, these cases should have a medical examination.

Signs of a concussion that others may observe include:

  • Dazed or stunned behavior

  • Confusion

  • Forgetful

  • Is unsure of game, score, or opponent or whereabouts if non-athlete

  • Awkward movement

  • Responds to questions slowly

  • Temporary loss of consciousness

  • Exhibits a change in behavior or personality

  • Forgets events prior to hit (retrograde)

  • Forgets events after hit (anterograde)
