What is an Injury Screen?

If you're unsure about what to do regarding an injury, consider scheduling a Complimentary Injury Screening. This screening provides an opportunity for you to consult with a licensed Physical Therapist about any injuries or chronic ailments you may have.

​

Neglecting an injury or pain for too long can lead to tissue changes, prolonging the healing process significantly.

​

In addition to addressing existing injuries, it's essential to take steps to prevent injuries before they occur. An Injury-Risk Assessment can help improve your physical performance and reduce the risk of injury. We can identify areas of imbalance, tightness, or weakness that could lead to injury during various activities.

​

The screening typically lasts 20 minutes and involves:

  • Musculoskeletal assessment, including specific strength, movement, flexibility, and joint stability testing

  • Summary of findings

  • Instruction for exercises and self-care activities

  • Recommended treatment options and care plan

  • Injury prevention advice

  • Referral or recommendation to a physician, if necessary
